Saskatchewan RCMP have laid 40 charges against two men following the seizure of cocaine, firearms, and a crossbow during a series of search warrants in North Battleford.
The North Battleford Crime Reduction Team–Gang Task Force (CRT-GTF), with assistance from the Critical Incident Response Team, executed three warrants on Oct. 25, 2025, as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.
During the early-morning operation at a 107 Street residence, officers encountered an adult male in a garage who allegedly pointed a firearm at a police officer before fleeing into the home. The firearm was not discharged and no one was injured. The male was arrested at the residence along with four additional men and two women.
Further searches of a second residence on 107 Street and two vehicles on 108 Street resulted in the seizure of approximately 176 grams of cocaine, three firearms, two replica firearms, a crossbow, body armour, bear spray, and drug trafficking paraphernalia.
As a result, 38-year-old Landon Gallie faces 19 counts of weapons possession contrary to an order, assault on a police officer, careless use of a firearm, possession of firearms without authorization, possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition without a licence, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, pointing a firearm, and possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine.
Talon Meechance, 24, faces charges including failing to comply with an undertaking condition, weapons possession contrary to an order, careless use of a firearm, possession of firearms without authorization, possession of a restricted firearm with ammunition without a licence, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine.
Three other males and two females arrested during the operation were later released without charges.
Both Gallie and Meechance appeared in North Battleford Provincial Court on Oct. 27, 2025.
“Using targeted investigative tactics, officers from two specialized RCMP teams identified several search locations tied to an active drug trafficking investigation,” said S/Sgt. Kory Davidsen, acting senior investigative officer with Saskatchewan RCMP’s Saskatchewan Enforcement Response Team. “These teams’ skills and training continue to make a difference in public safety, removing illegal drugs and firearms from the streets.”
